Let me introduce to you yet another of my favorite people: Pavitra.
While I was sojourn in Hyderabad, it was Pavitra's job to make guests feel taken care of. It was through her and her co-workers that all of the guests requests and needs would filter, and each would be taken care of with quiet and careful efficiency.
Over morning tea, Pavitra and I would sometimes converse. She--along with other people I hope to introduce to you--added a sense of home and companionship to my many months away.
There aren't many people in the world in which you may find that a glance, gesture or a smile can stand in for an entire conversation but Pavitra was one person whom I shared such a connection. After I had taken the photos of some of the other people who had made stay special, I had asked Pavitra if I she would pose for a photograph.
Pavitra nervously set up as though she were waiting to undergo surgery. Amrita, another one of my favorite people from that generation of workers at the Taj Krishna ended my coaxing for a relaxed pose by trying one on Pavitra for her. I positively love the energy within this photograph and I wanted to share it with you all.
I was thrilled when Pavitra told me that it would be alright to share!
