The Moment of Inception

View in Photoblog

My dad sent this picture to me in an e-mail last week. He called and called to make sure that I would print it and put it in my office as well as post it on my photoblog.

When my dad lived in Minneapolis, he had a copy of this photograph hanging on the refrigerator. Next to it was a picture of my brother at a similar age with a guitar in his hands. Whenever we would have a new guest come over he would make sure to point out both of these pictures and say, "these were their moments of inception."

Someone had to expose us and encourage us in those situations. Thank you dad!

Hey, I grew up with an Apple ][+ too! (Or is that a classic Apple ][?)

I love old photos like this. Looks like you were caught by surprise there.
I'm guessing this is taken around 1983?

When Jordan was three (1983) I bought an Apple computer and brought it home to learn just how these new-fangled electronic machines worked. The intent was to put my company on a computerized billing system. One day, shortly after the purchase, Jordan climbed up into my lap and began to feverishly push the cute little buttons with the alphabet on them. I soon came to learn that there was a method to his madness as he was comprehending the idea of "1's" and "0's" way ahead of me!. It didn't take long for Jordan to learn how to program in bits and pieces of "Apple-Basic"...The rest is, as they say, is "His-story"
