Taken Christmas morning when we went out snowshoeing. This area of the forest was relatively clear because it had recently been logged out.

This is Christmas in the North Woods of Wisconsin. This year My friend Jesse was kind enough to invite me to spend Christmas with his family in Eagle River, Wisconsin. Entertainment included: snowshoeing, pinochle, and shooting guns at wooden targets from the deck of the house.
This is Jesse's father, Bob, one of the kindest human beings alive.

The Sagrada Familia is beyond description. It feels as grand as the Grand Canyon and just as difficult to capture beyond mere impression onto film. I was really taken by the cubist sculptures which is a style so rarely used for Christian artwork.
It is exciting for me to consider that the building might be completed in my lifetime.

Nuit Blanche 2007 Louvre Fire Installation

There was a beautiful grand installation of fire in Marie outside of the Louvre for Nuit Blanche in Paris this year. The installation consisted of chimneys creating columns of fire, charcoal pyres, iron sculpture holding terracotta pots burning kerosene, and a large handing chandelier of fire.
I brought the Polaroid 101, which was a hit amongst the Parisians, and tried to capture some of the flames on film.

When I visited Paris my friend Mika took my out to take photographs in the morning. When we passed Ladurée and she found out that I hadn't tried one of their Macaron we had to come in out of the cold and take some with us to go.
Here I am at odds with trying to describe to Mika's mother exactly how good the caramel Macaron is. They truly are great!
